The Huntrix Meal
Made by? McDonald's
Contains? Medium drink, Hunter Sauce, Demon Sauce, Medium Ramyeon McShaker Fries, 10 piece Chicken McNuggets
Rating: 10/10
I was not expecting an entire meal themed after this movie but I actually really enjoyed it. It comes with a normal drink plus a 10 piece order of their chicken mcnuggets, but besides that there are some unique parts to this meal. First, the ramyeon fries which were super, super good. The ramyeon seasoning tastes just like the kind of seasoning you'd get in noodle dishes! And they gave a good amount so all of my fries were coated in the stuff after giving them a good shaking in the bag. Then there's the two sauces. I preferred the demon sauce over the hunter one, but both were good. The demon sauce was, quite literally, purple, which was kind of funny to me. I think both represent their characters well. Lastly, you get a random card whenever you purchase one of the meals, which is really cool. The cards show off each character in cool poses and they're reflective too!
The packaging for this meal is super cute! They give you a themed box with Huntrix on one side and the Saja Boys on the other. Even the box the fries comes in has a little bit of themeing on and inside it as well. The honmoon is present on just about everything, which is a cool detail.
Final thoughts
Overall, a very cool idea for a meal. Would of been cool if they maybe did something themed with the drink or mcnuggets but they were still good as they were. The addition of the collectible cards makes buying another meal worthwhile (besides just the good taste). I do wish it could stay around longer but as long as its still out I will be grabbing one and enjoying it all over again!
Bonus entry: Derpy McFlurry
Made by? McDonald's
Contains? Vanilla icecream, popping pearls, wildberry sauce
Rating: 10/10
While I didn't get this during my first or second time getting the Huntrix Meal, I did finally try it on my third time getting the meal. Overall, it's pretty good. It tastes like vanilla icecream but with a mix of yummy berry. The pearls were probably the best part, I really liked the sweetness they added to the treat. It was also supposed to come in a themed container that had Derpy on it but sadly I think our McDonald's ran out of those so mine just came in the normal McFlurry cup.
