Rating: 4.5/5

This game's OST is actually what convinced me to retry this game again after first not liking it. Listening to its soundtrack made me remember how gorgeous each of the tracks were. Despite also being on the 3DS, this game has its own unique sound compared to Gates to Infinity, which I really love. My favorite part of this OST would have to be the dungeon themes, the composers did an amazing job on them. My only complaint would be a lot of tracks are reused from previous games, especially Gates to Infinity.

DISC 1

1. "Main Theme" - 5/5

I had the Super Mystery Dungeon theme set on my 3DS for so long so I'd always hear the part at 0:13 whenever I turned on my 3DS. It's another rendition of the opening theme from every Mystery Dungeon game. This one sounds so epic, and truly emphasizes the kind of grand adventure you'll be going on. I love the use of trumpets, violins, bells and drums to give it this grand sound.

2. "Main Menu" - 5/5

Another rendition of the classic Mystery Dungeon menu music, this one is such a cute version of it! Reminds me of a lullaby. Love the xylophone-like instrument they used for the main notes.

3. "Welcome to the World of Pokemon!" - 5/5

This track reminds me of "I Look Like a Pokemon!" from Gates to Infinity, but with a much more magical feel to it. It feels softer too, in a way. I really love the part that starts at 0:47, it's my favorite part of this song. The part at 1:10 is really great too, love the use of the bells.

4. "Things That Live on This Planet" - 5/5

Really love how you can hear the notes of "Main Theme" sprinkled throughout this one in such a eerie manner. I don't have too much to say about this track, but it's nice and gives the atmosphere needed in the scene it plays.

5. "Why, All of a Sudden!" - 5/5

This track both simultaneously gives me a sense of danger and feels silly (in a good way). I really like the instrument choice in this song, especially the bongoes in the back.

6. "Open Pass" - 5/5

Much like the previous track, this one also has that sense of danger and goofiness. It's a great theme for the first dungeon of the game!

7. "Lush Forest" - 5/5

This is where the music REALLY starts to shine in this game's soundtrack. This is up there as one of my favorites. I think this song better conveys the run you're on away from the Beeheyem that are chasing you. It also screams forest theme. I really love the cello and castanets used in the song. The sound that kicks in the background at 0:20 is so pretty.

8. "At Such a Moment" - 5/5

The sense of calm, a moment of rest. This track is really pretty and so relaxing. Really love the flute in this one.

9. "It Is What It Is..." - 5/5

Another favorite, this one is so silly! I really love the combination of instruments as well as the clapping in this one. This almost sounds like it could be in Gates to Infinity, mainly with the part that kicks in at 0:30.

10. "Over the Mountains" - 5/5

It's the part that kicks in at 0:17 that made this song a favorite for me. It was pretty on its own but the use of the balaban is simply gorgeous.

11. "Title Theme" - 5/5

I won't lie, when this played and the title screen showed up, I did get a little emotional. A short, and simple tune, but these notes will be heard throughout this game's soundtrack.

12. "Nuzleaf's House" - 5/5

What can I say? It feels like home. Simple, and cozy!

13. "Children of Serene Village" - 5/5

The beginning reminds me of Gates to Infinity a little. This one is super cute! It conveys the silliness and innocence of the children of Serene Village. I especially like the bag pipes that kick in 0:40 seconds in.

14. "Woah!" - 5/5

Whenever something bizarre happes, you can be sure this plays. Really cute and goofy, I love it. I really love the horn in it.

15. "Serene Village" - 5/5

I could literally fall asleep to this music, it's so soothing. It feels like home. Serene Village is one of my favorite locations in the game, big reason is due to the music. I really love the accordion that kicks in 0:37 seconds in.

16. "A Little Kerfuffle" - 5/5

Sounds like something that could be in Gates to Infinity. Either way, a nice mysterious track that encompasses the atmosphere of the situation well.

17. "Foreboding Forest" - 5/5

Another wonderful dungeon theme, definetely a favorite. The harp that starts at 0:06 is so good. That, along with the part that kicks in at 0:55 are my favorite parts of this song. Especially the latter, god I could listen to that over and over again it does something to my brain.

18. "Mysteries Within" - 5/5

Normally these tracks in Mystery Dungeon games are called "At the End of the Road" or something similar, so this is a change. Still though, as good as ever. I quite like this variant and the noises it has playing the background, especially the one that plays at 0:30.

19. "Let's Go to School!" - 5/5

This very much screams a song that would play in a school setting. It's really cute and cozy! I really love the use of instruments, especially the steel drum.

20. "The Way Home" - 5/5

Super cute and relaxing! I don't have too much to say about this one, but it definetely has the vibes of walking home after a long day of school.

21. "Pancham and Shelmet" - 5/5

Definetely fits those two as characters, and how self absorbed and mean they are. I really like the use of the drum in this one, it represents their booming and loud prescence.

22. "Getting Scolded" - 5/5

I always really liked this theme a lot, it's very silly and conveys the situations it plays in well.

23. "Drilbur Coal Mine" - 5/5

Another great dungeon theme! It definetely gives me vibes of a cave/mine. I'm not sure if I have a favorite part of this song, each part is really great.

Track 24 is just from a previous game and will be reviewed in it's respective OST review.

25. "Boss Battke: Children's Adventure!" - 5/5

I really love how this is a more "child-like" remix of the classic battle theme. Its great for a first boss battle theme, intense but not too much.

26. "Treasure within Your Heart" - 5/5

Really cute! I don't have too much to say about it other than its such a happy song and makes my heart warm!

27. "Partner's Theme" - 5/5

There's those notes from "Title Theme" appearing again. I think I wanna call this the "Partner's Theme" leitmotif though, so from now on I will. It almost feels like a theme song to the whole game really. It's so beautifully composed with such a memorable set of notes. I love how the song changes at 1:10 to such a sad tone with the choir in the background. At 1:55, those background sounds mixed with the choir really remind me of Gates to Infinity since it used a lot of that in its OST. 2:15 has to be my favorite part of this track, its just so pretty.

28. "School Forest" - 5/5

Very chill for a dungeon theme, but still very good. It actually makes this dungeon feel less intimidating and fits with it being a beginner dungeon. It's so cozy and relaxing. Even the parts where it does ramp up still have that chill vibe to it.

29. "During an Adventure" - 5/5

Always associated this the most when making connections in the game. Very simple, but quite pretty, best part is the choir.

30. "No Frustration, No Giving Up" - 5/5

I won't lie, the beginning reminded me of Wigglytuff's Guild a little. You can hear "Partner's Theme" in this song. The little horn that starts at 0:35 is really cute.

31. "Vice Principal Watchog's Theme" - 5/5

Oh this one is really good. Might be a favorite, to be honest. I like how this is a variant of "Let's Go to School!", but with a more harder tone to match Watchog's personality. The beginning with the horns is a really great introduction too.

32. "Glittering Mountain" - 5/5

Another really chill dungeon theme. It's got an almost marching sound to it as well, fitting with the whole field trip vibe. Not too much to say about it, other than its a very relaxing song.

33. "Mellow" - 5/5

While Gates to Infinity skipped out on this song, I'm glad to see it make a comeback in this game! I think this is a pretty good rendition! The music box sounds that start at 0:48 are a great touch as well.

34. "With Big-Hearted Kindness" - 5/5

This is a really nice one! Not much to say about it, but I do really like the part at 0:49 that repeats.

35. "What to Do..." - 5/5

Its very simple, but I really like the silliness to it. The instruments they used very much convey confusion.

36. "Just Where?!" - 5/5

Similar to this last track, its very simple but also conveys confusion. This one has more of a sinister vibe to it though.

37. "Nectar Meadow" - 5/5

Such a beautiful song, I always loved coming to this dungeon for its amazing theme. Definetely a favorite. It fits the area it plays in so well and its so relaxing.

38. "Wandering Ampharos" - 5/5

Yeah, this theme fits Ampharos as a character perfectly. Goofy, clumsy, and a leader. This track perfectly tells you everything you need to know about him as a character before even knowing who he is.

39. "Poliwrath River" - 5/5

Probably one of the chillest dungeon themes in this whole game, like wow. I could go to sleep with this, its so soothing.

40. "Expedition Society Crown" - 5/5

This definetely gives me "Wigglytuff's Guild" vibes. I quite like it a lot! Has that proud, marching feel to it, fitting since the Expedition Society is well renowned. Its also calm in a way, showing how you and your partner are only Expedition Society Junior members at the moment. I really like the part at 0:48 for some reason.

41. "Quiet Night" - 5/5

I really love this track a lot, I'm not sure what instruments are used but they make for a very unique sound. This is actually a rendition of "Serene Village" as well.

42. "School's Rumors at Night" - 3/5

Quite the eerie one, sounds like something you'd hear out of some horror RPGMaker game. It's a bit too simple for my liking though, and not really memorable.

43. "On Patrol at the School" - 5/5

Very spooky, very mysterious. Sets the mood perfectly for the scene it plays in.

44. "So Hot..." - 5/5

Oh I love this track a lot, now THIS is creepy. That sound that starts at 0:10 actually sounds like a ghostly fire, and I didn't think that could even be a sound someone could make.

45. "Terrifying Shadow" - 5/5

Sounds like straight out of a horror game! Super scary, I love it.

46. "Pale Flame" - 5/5

Another very eerie track, I like this one too. Not sure why but the background noise that kicks in at 0:10 reminded me of "Dark Skies" from the Pokémon XY soundtrack, just more slowed down.

47. "Ancient Barrow" - 5/5

Our first real dungeon where great danger lies ahead, and this music conveys that super well! 0:44 is my favorite part, I love how its climbing up. And right after it slows down to a more slow, hopeful sound that conveys the bravery your team must have to get through here and find out what's going on.

48. "Partner's Theme Music Box" - 5/5

What can I say, it's a variation of "Partner's Theme" but in music box form! I think its a great variation to have, its very gentle, and sad.

49. "Revelation Mountain" - 5/5

A place shrouded by mystery through most of the game, a place you're warned to never go to. A place full of highly dangerous Pokémon. This track really encapsulates those feelings and puts them into song. I really love the little notes that play at 1:05.

50. "Children Came to See Us Off..." - 5/5

Another rendition of "Partner's Theme", this one with a lot of emotion put into it. It's time to leave Serene Village and say goodbye to everyone. Definetely hits you in the feels when you hear it in game.

51. "Time to Set Out" - 5/5

I really like the use of "Serene Village" 's instruments in this one. I like how this song makes you think it'll be really calm and quiet up until 1:05 where it just ramps up out of nowhere. I quite like it a lot, though, it definetely gets you feeling emotional.

52. "Sheer Mountain Range" - 5/5

This is quite a good dungeon theme, especially when 0:36 kicks in with the main part of the song. It conveys the great adventure you're about to take on your way to Lively Town! My favorite part would have to be at 1:22, love the change as well as the use of the gong for transition. 1:28 is great too, love the use of violins. 1:54 is another favorite part of mine, really love this set of notes here for another transition into 2:17 with the great bagpipe part they have there too. This is definetely another favorite of mine from this game's soundtrack.

53. "Gentle Slope Cave" - 5/5

I like how this starts off sounding like some kind of spy theme. Anyway, really love the instrument that kicks in at 0:08, as well as the ones that play at 0:28. The shift at 1:42 is so insanely good too. This song changes constantly and I really like that. Definetely a favorite.

54. "Lively Town" - 5/5

No matter how times I had to listen to this song throughout the story and post game, I never got tired of it. It's a great town theme and very nostalgic. The part at 0:39 would have to be my favorite, I love how calm it sounds before transitiong back into the hustle and bustle the town is known for. Its up there as a favorite from this OST.

55. "Onward, Expedition Society!" - 5/5

A rendition of "Expedition Society Crown", this one sounds way more like a proud marching theme. I love it a lot!

56. "Onward, Expedition Society! (Music Box)" - 5/5

A music box version of "Onward, Expedition Society!". This one plays whenever you're about to head to bed while at the Expedition Society. It's so soothing.

57. "Legendary Boss Battle: Rock Version!" - 5/5

It's about time we got a rock version of the boss battle theme. This ROCKS (pun fully intended)! It's definetely one of my favorite renditions of the boss battle theme.

58. "Air Continent: Baram Town" - 5/5

This really suits the Air continent and how it looks. Such a great and joyous theme! The use of bagpipes has to be my favorite part of this song. Sounds like something you'd hear in some fantasy movie, or an irish jig.

59. "Echoes of the Mystical Forest" - 5/5

A really great dungeon theme, I love everything about this song. 1:18 is noteworthy for completely changing the shift of the song entirely, which I really like.

60. "Mystery of Fossils" - 5/5

Back to eerie songs, this is one of my favorites out of the eerie ones. I really love the little notes that play at 0:16 and throughout. Not sure why it's called "Mystery of Fossils" though as none of the points it plays at have anything to do with fossils. Or anything really in the plot for that matter.

Track 61 is just from a previous game and will be reviewed in its respective OST review.

62. "Resilience of the Expedition Society" - 5/5

This really reminds me of something from Legend of Zelda, I think its the arrangement of the notes. Anyway, this one is pretty good, showcases the Society's bravery and ability to stand against all danger.

63. "Fire Island Volcano" - 5/5

Hands down, one of my favorites from this soundtrack. You will not expect where this song is going or the drop it's gonna hand to you. The beginning section with the didjeridoo, and the drop with the violins, drums, and bagpipes gives me actual chills. Like I have no words, this entire song is an actual masterpiece and probably one of my top favorite tracks ever from a Mystery Dungeon (or even Pokémon game). 0:48 in particular I really, really love. Anyway, this song makes me go mental every time I hear it, its just that good.

64. "Boss Battle Expedition Society Fight" - 5/5

Another rendition of the boss battle theme, though this one is when you fight with the rest of the Expedition Society at your side. I quite like this one a lot, gives some unique sounds to what we're used to. In a way, it sounds like you're not alone, like you're with a team if that makes sense.

65. "The Mystery of the Scarf! Evolution!" - 5/5

For only playing in short sections of the game, I really like this tune. The use of the violins, the little notes that start at 0:04, and the choir really convey how amazing and magical the scene this plays in is.

66. "Power of Evolution" - 5/5

I don't have too much to say about this one other than it keeps the hype going for the whole situation!

67. "Showdown with a Volcanic Entei!" - 5/5

I swear I'm hearing parts of "Fire Island Volcano" in this. Also a bit of the usual boss battle theme, but that makes sense. Really cool that Entei got his own unique battle theme, and what a cool one it is!

68. "Things Happening in This World" - 5/5

Ominous, very ominous. Sounds a lot like "Tree of Life: Roots", so very foreshadowing as well. I like the choir a lot in this one.

69. "Feelings of the Expedition Society" - 5/5

A variation of "Resilience of the Expedition Society", just with a more softer-ish sound to it. As soft as you can make a marching theme. I do like the added instruments in this one.

70. "Showdown Mountain" - 5/5

Definetely a favorite, I love coming to this dungeon for its music. It conveys the urgency of the situation in the story so well. I really love the use of the bagpipes and flute combined together.

71. "Mysteries Within Arrangement 1" - 5/5

A variant of "Mysteries Within", I really like this one more than the first one in this soundtrack. The lower pitch and the sound that happens at 0:09 are really nice on the ears. Gives such a dark, mysterious feeling.

72. "Oh No! This Is Bad!" - 5/5

Oh no! Another danger theme! In all seriousness, this one is pretty cool. Let's you know right off the bat the situation is very dire.

73. "Ancient Letters Left Behind" - 5/5

Oh this one is a favorite for sure. I loved whenever this would play, it really gives off that mystical feeling finding each of the writings gave off. The echo-y violin mixed with the choir make for such a beautiful track.

74. "Something Is Amiss..." - 5/5

With the way this song sounds, something is a little more than amiss. Really great song for what gets revealed here. Really conveys the situation and how the Pokémon you thought you trusted your life with are tearing it down right before your eyes.

75. "Surprise Attack yveltal!" - 5/5

Such a cool theme, especially at 0:29, that sound is so eerie! You're quite literally up against a God of death who is (unwillingly) hellbent on turning everyone to stone and this song reminds you of that harshly.

76. "A Warning to All Pokemon!" - 5/5

If there was ever a song that screamed "The end times are near" it's this one. Such an amazing track, I love everything about it. Gives me such an intense sense of dread. Really love the set of notes in the background that kick in at 0:28.

77. "Voidlands" - 5/5

Another very eerie track, this one is so pretty. Has a very slow start, but I think that fits with the situation you're in. Of having to come to terms with everything that has just happened and that you're in a complete other dimension now. Reminds me of something that would play in a desert a bit. Love the noise that plays 1:13 in too.

78. "Abyssal Badlands" - 5/5

Freaky, strange, otherworldy, oh I love it. Sounds like it'd fit perfectly into The Coffin of Andy and Leyley to be honest. This one's a favorite.

79. "Within the Sadness" - 5/5

I really love the use of the kalimba in this one. The transition at 1:05 is probably my favorite part of this song, god it's so pretty. This one gives vibes of reminiscing for better times, of old memories, moreso than despair. This one would have to be a favorite as well.

80. "Cave of the Deep" - 5/5

Quite the transition from the more calmer, mysterious songs we've been having. Makes sense though, your despair is leaving now that you've met with more of the Expedition Society and know they're okay. You're all determined to find a way out! It's a pretty good theme. At 2:02 it reminds me of something out of the original Final Fantasy VII kind of.

81. "Calm Craggy Area" - 5/5

Instant favorite, wow this one's a masterpiece. Back to that mysterious sound the other Voidlands song have, which I appreciate. Especially at 1:16, it REALLY gives those mysterious and dangerous vibes. The part at 1:41 would have to be my favorite, I love the repeating descending notes. Also the beginning at 0:19 seconds in, man that is beautiful. I love to listen to that on repeat, especially when the light choir kicks in in the background.

82. "Void Shadows" - 5/5

A variant of "A Warning to All Pokémon!" just with less heavy dread. I feel this one is a little more simpler, but it's still pretty good.

83. "A Trio of Sacred Legends" - 5/5

A pretty cool theme for finding the legendary trio in the Voidlands and getting them on your team! I don't have too much to say about this one, but it's pretty cool, especially the intro.

84. "Reverse Mountain" - 5/5

This track starts out kind of slow in my opinion but the blast at 1:43 is really good. I wouldn't call this one of my favorite tracks, but it has its value. I also do quite like the intro as well. It also fits well for the situation and being the final dungeon of the Voidlands.

85. "Mysteries Within Arrangement 2" - 5/5

Such a dark variation of "Mysteries Within", I love it. This one really feels like all hope is lost (even though it isn't).

86. "Resolve of a Legendary Trio" - 5/5

Short, but sweet. Very cute and let's you know not all hope is lost, the trio has a plan!

87. "Entrusted Hope" - 5/5

Not much to say about this one, just that it's a great theme for finally being able to escape the Voidlands and everyone buying you enough time to get through the door. It's also pretty emotional, especially with what's going on in the scene.

88. "Depths of the Submerged Cave" - 5/5

This was actually the song that got me to re-buy this game and try it again after first not liking it. This one song did it for me. I've listened to it so many times over, its just absolutely gorgeous. One of my top favorites from this whole soundtrack. The part at 1:23 in particular really sticks with me, and the part it transitions into, its so beautiful. That and the intro as well, I love so much. I also really love the bubble-y sounds throughout the song as well, it really adds to the atmosphere.

89. "Prehistoric Ruins" - 5/5

Very calm like the previous track, but this one screams ancient and prehistoric. I can picture myself travering old ruins from hearing this. THIS really sounds like an adventuring song. I like how it starts very slow and quiet and ramps up to something greater, much like a real adventure would.

90. "The Secret of the Lost Memory" - 5/5

A pretty cool theme to go along with a big reveal. I really like the sound of this one a lot. Has a light hearted sound to it with eerieness and mystery in the background. I do wish we got to hear more of that very soothing sound in the beginning before it roughly transitions into the harsher notes. But, what we got isn't bad.

91. "Tree of Life - Island of the South" - 5/5

Oh, this is a real pretty one. I especially love the instrument usage in this one and the choir parts.

92. "Road to Primeval Forest" - 5/5

Such a beautiful song, I really love this one a lot. The part at 0:45 would have to be my favorite, the instrument used is gorgeous, as well as the flute part that comes after. This one would be a favorite track as well.

93. "Withered Tree of Life" - 5/5

A great song that fits the reveal that the Tree of Life is dying right before your very eyes. Not much more to say other than that.

94. "Fight with Yveltal and Others!" - 5/5

A really great battle theme for going against Yveltal and crew! This song actually uses a part of "A Warning to All Pokémon!" as a leitmotif which is really cool. This track really lets you know you're going up against some of the toughest, most dangerous Pokémon and they aren't holding back. I also really like the noise that plays at 0:24 and throughout the song, adds to the whole dark vibe of the song.

95. "Make It!" - 5/5

Oh when "Partner's Theme" kicks in at 0:50 it definetely hits in the feels. This song synced up quite well with the cutscene it played in, matched the intense vibe so well. And then the ending when it all starts to go wrong and the plan begins to fail.

96. "We Can Fly!" - 4/5
Same feelings as the previous track since this is technically the second part to it. It fits the cutscene well, though I feel it is a lot more simpler than the previous track and not as exciting.

97. "Power of Pokemon" - 5/5

Nowhere near a favorite, but it fits well in the scene it plays. The entire world of Pokémon, even Arceus himself, is working to help stop the Tree of Life from moving. They're doing everything in their power because they all have their hopes in you, and this conveys that pretty well.

98. "Tree of Life: Roots" - 5/5

This became a favorite so fast after listening to it, just wow. What a masterpiece. Everything about it is just great. Perfect for one of the final dungeons of the game. The part that starts at 0:33 is wonderful and then its transition at 0:55 is just one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard. The entire world is counting on you and this song is reminding you of that. And then the part at 1:45 always make me so emotional.

99. "Tree of Life: Trunk" - 5/5

While the previous track gave a sense of great hope and bravery, this one feels the complete opposite. Like reality is finally setting in on what you're about to be up against. The dread is finally kicking in, the adrenaline blinding you is slowing down. The entire fate of the world rests upon your shoulders, can you REALLY do this? This is great for the official last dungeon of the game. It takes parts of the previous track and turns it into a more somber, eerie theme. You can also hear almost cracking like noises sometimes in the background, reminding you that the Tree of Life is breaking around you.

100. "We'll Definitely... Take You Down!" - 5/5

Was not expecting a retro sound to this one, but it's REALLY good. It's time. Time to save the world and take down Dark Matter. This song gets you pumped up for that.

101. "First Dark Matter Battle" - 5/5

This is a pretty cool song, I really love it. Love the use of the ominous bells and the high action instruments to keep you pumped. I really like the part at 1:05 where it chills a bit and you get to hear the background violins more clearly.

102. "Dark Matter Reborn!" - 5/5

Dark Matter is no entity to be messed with, and this song and scene reminds you of that. You're fighting the living embodiment of every negative emotion, and it means to destroy everything, including you. Very ominous, I love it.

103. "Even If You're Weak, Struggle!" - 5/5

I quite like the ambient sound to this one. Gives you the sense of hopelessness, of pure dread. I quite like the choir in this one, as well as the notes that kick in 0:30 seconds in. The retro noises that start 0:47 seconds in are a nice touch as well.

104. "Mysteries Within Arrangement 3" - 5/5

Probably the darkest and eeries variant of "Mysteries Within". Wow this one is genuinely creepy. This screams "You've failed everyone, its over, give up.".

105. "Don't Give Up" - 5/5

After possibly the creepiest song from this entire OST, we're back to having hope and knowing that things will be okay! This one is really nice, simple, but effective. I like the choir a lot. And of course it has "Partner's Theme" in it, what a perfect inclusion too.

106. "Second Dark Matter Battle" - 5/5

What a wonderful final boss theme to end the game off with. Man this one is really good. I wouldn't call it my favorite from the Mystery Dungeon series, but it does not slack by any means. Not to mention, this entire song is a remix of "Partner's Theme" and it's probably my favorite variation of that song. Also that intro goes so hard. This is definetely a favorite track from this OST, how could it not be?

107. "A Bad Feeling That Won't Go Away" - 5/5

You'd think after that final boss we'd be done with ominous, dreadful sounding songs but nope! I quite like this one a lot, that one instrument playing throughout the background of the song is really nice.

108. "Wh-where Am I..." - 5/5

A great, relieving song now that the world is FINALLY saved. A very cute little tune.

109. "Tree of Life Revived!" - 5/5

You can hear a bit of "Tree of Life: Roots" in this one. Overall, this is a really beautiful song.

110. "Rejoice, the World Is Saved!" - 5/5

Not much to say about this one. It is good though, and a great soothing song to listen to after your long, hard adventure.

111. "Heading Home to Serene Village" - 5/5

I really love the, what I believe is a harmonica, used in this song. I think it makes for a very unique sound and memorable track. Definetely gives off the vibes of "It's time to go home and rest, finally.".

112. "Welcome Home and Thanks!" - 5/5

Another variant of "Serene Village", but now with a more celebratory feel to it! Not much more to say other than another great song to end things off and to celebrate saving the world.

113. "Enveloped in Light..." - 4/5
And this is where things start to get very emotional. A relatively simple theme. I liked the intro but the rest of the song feels very reptitive.

114. "Time to Part Ways" - 5/5

Probably one of the biggest twists in this game, among many others. Man, this whole scene got me very emotional. Even just re-listening to it makes my throat tighten. What a great song to go with such a heartbreaking scene.

115. "The End" - 5/5

And finally the staff credits song, which weirdly isn't named that. The entire time this song is playing your main character is still on the hill crying for their partner and it makes this song even more emotional for me. Overall, a pretty great staff credits song.

116. "Epilogue" - 5/5

There goes "Partner's Theme" again in this little tune for the epilogue, foreshadowing what is to come.

117. "Grass Continent: Capim Town" - 5/5

Really love this one, it suits the grass continent's design well. Very cute! I love hearing it whenever I head over there for a mission.

118. "Mist Continent: Noe Town" - 5/5

This was also the other song that convinced me to buy Super Mystery Dungeon again. Man, it is simply gorgeous, a top favorite track of mine. Sometimes I'll just sit there in game and listen to the music. It's my favorite out of the continent themes. The flute and the little notes at 0:11 just do something magical to my brain.

119. "Sand Continent: Sahra Town" - 5/5

I really love the more spanish approach to this song instead of the usual desert sounds you hear. This one's a favorite, such a great track to hear when going to this continent.

120. "Whispers of the Forests and Mountains (Rescue Team Mix)" - 5/5

This is actually a remix of the song "Friend Area Forest" from Pokémon- Mystery Dungeon Red and Blue Rescue Team. This is such a beautiful rendition of that song too, like wow. I think I prefer it more than the original. It has such a "wild" feel to it if that makes sense, fits for a forest.

121. "Beach Cave (Explorers Mix)" - 5/5

A pretty cool remaster of "Beach Cave" from the Explorers series. I do prefer the original more, but this is a pretty cool one! I do like the instruments they used in this rendition.

122. "Amp Plains (Explorers Mix)" - 5/5

This one's a remix of the original "Amp Plains". I actually prefer this one more than the original, I really love the intense instruments they used in this version. This one's a favorite from this OST.

123. "Crystal Cave (Explorers Mix)" - 5/5

Oh I love whenever this one plays in game. It tends to whenever you reach the end of a dungeon with a strange floor. Both the original and this one are really good but I think I prefer this one slightly more. The instruments just give it this extra magical feeling. Definetely a top favorite in this game's soundtrack.

124. "Boss Battle with Great Powers!" - 5/5

A really great theme when fighting against the legendaries post game! It screams that you're up against someone so powerful.

125. "Pelipper Island" - 5/5

A new rendition of the original "Pelipper Island" from the Explorers series. I really love them both equally, I couldn't decide which is better. I do really like the instruments used in this version.

126-128 are just from previous games and will be reviewed in their respective OST reviews.

129. "Sand Dune of Spirits" - 5/5

This is actually a remaster of "Great Canyon" from Red and Blue Rescue Team. It's so good too. I can't pick between which version I like better, since they're both great songs. This one's a definite favorite.

130. "Mystery Jungle" - 5/5

I really love this dungeon's theme a lot. You're so close to getting your partner back that'd you traverse through dangerous jungles just for them! This theme really captures those feelings your main character is having at the moment. The beginning of this song sounds like another song but I can't put my finger on what.

131. "Purifying Cave" - 5/5

Such a gorgeous theme, like wow. I really love the harp that plays throughout it. The part that starts at 1:03 is really beautiful. The notes at 1:30 are really good as well. This one's definetely a favorite.

132-171 are just from previous games and will be reviewed in their respective OST reviews.

DISC 2

1. "Starting Game File..." - 5/5

Short little tune that plays at the very beginning of ever starting the game. Simple, but cool.

2. "Ambience Arrangement 1" - 4/5

Just some very creepy ambience, not much to it.

3. "Ambience Arrangement 2" - 5/5

Some more creepy ambience, though I think this one is better than the previous one.

4. "Ambience Arrangement 3" - 3/5
Even more creepy ambience. My least favorite out of the three, it's really dull.

5. "Welcome Home and Thanks! (No Mix)" - 5/5

A variant of "Welcome Home and Thanks!", this one just plays at night. I really like this version, it's very soothing and sleepy. Probably my favorite out of the three versions.

6. "Welcome Home and Thanks! (No Mix 2)" - 5/5

A variant of "Welcome Home and Thanks!", this is actually the original and previous track combined together. Also really nice, I really like this one as well.

7. "Welcome to the World of Pokemon! Remix" - 5/5

A remix of "Welcome to the World of Pokémon!" heard throughout the Mystery Dungeon series. This one went unsued, I presume due to them wanting to use the version that did make it into the game. This version's pretty good, I like it.

8. "In the Eyes of Our Allies" - 5/5

It's unknown where this track would of played since it went unused in the game. I'm going to assume during some scene where everyone was preparing for something big or raising each other's spirits. This one is pretty nice, sucks it didn't make it into the game though. You can even hear some of the "Partner's Theme" leitmotif in this one too!

BONUS

1. "Revelation Mountain 2" - 5/5

This version plays the second time you enter Revelation Mountain. I feel like this one has a much more darker tone to it, fitting given why you have to go back in the first place and what happens there. I think I prefer this version slightly more.
